A great opportunity exists for a Linux systems administrator to be a part of and to join a leading Media infrastructure team. Currently this team supports the Unix and windows servers and desktops. The purpose of this role would be to reduce support costs and improve Business continuity in the event of a site disaster. The successful candidate will manage the development, implementation and support of the core Linux systems.
You will support the delivery of data and systems, develop, test and maintain business processes for 24x7 operations and work with the infrastructure team to cover support of Windows and Citrix servers, desktops and telephone systems.
To be considered for this role, you will need a minimum of 3 years experience of Red Hat Linux systems administration in a commercial environment as well as a good a good knowledge of PERL * Shell Scripting. Candidates will ideally have a degree in Computer science or a relevant subject and must have good communications skills and be a Team player.
